Western Larkspur or Duncecap Larkspur or Tall Larkspur It is a hybrid of subalpine larkspur (D. barbeyi) and Sierra larkspur (D. glaucum) Perennials with multiple stems growing up to 4 feet tall. Many soft blue or bluish-white colored flowers. Delphinium × occidentale is a robust perennial growing from deep, woody roots. Each plant may have numerous stems, which are usually 24 to 80 inches (60-200 cm) tall and hollow. The leaves are alternately placed along the stems and are palmately divided.
