Plants grow two to three feet tall and produce many fragrant showy white flowers in phlox-like clusters. This species produces nice fragrant cut flowers. Plants will flower the first year if started early. The foliage is soft almost succulent looking and a light green color. Plants have large white many-branched rootstock and do best if left alone once established, resenting transplanting once established. Easy from seed, the seedlings have a good rate of growth and can be transplanted out after 4 to 6 weeks of growth.

      Zones 4-9

From southern Europe and northern Africa. Germination 10 to 21 days at 65 F, light helps. Plants will flower 15 weeks from sowing.

These seeds will produce nice darker shades of rose-red colored flowers. The airy heads of flowers make great cutting material. Plants will flower the first year if started early. Loved by Butterflies, long blooming with medium green, succulent, Sedum like foliage. Clump forming plants for full sun to light shade, best in soils that are neutral to slightly alkaline. In more shade they tend to be lax in habit but still flower.

        Zones 4-9

Germination starts in a few day and can be spread-out over the next few weeks. Use 65F, light helps so surface sow and very thinly sprinkle some soil medium over them. The seedlings are good sized and easy to handle, but the roots resent disturbance.
