Hall's Milkweed or Purple Silkweed Asclepiadaceae:
This perennial grows 20 to 80cm tall, the long, thin flowers are produced in umbels along the stem length and the foliage is lance to egg shaped. The flowers have green to purple tinted sepals and rose to purple colored petals. The center of the flowers are pale rose to cream. this species blooms in summer and the seeds are released in late summer. The plants can spread by way of a creeping rootstock. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
Native from Wyoming to Colorado, south to Nevada and southern Arizona.
