Lupinus texensis 'Alamo Fire'
'Red Texas Lupine' or 'Bluebonnet'
Thick spikes of flowers grow 12 to 18 inches tall, and have with wine red colored flowers. The flowers have white tips and are produced above low bushy foliage. Use in well drained soils in full sun, plants will not tolerate soil dampness for more than a few days. Use on hillsides or raised beds in deep sandy loam soils. Seeds are scarified already for easier germination.
