Primula capitata 'Noverna Deep Blue'
Primula capitata 'Noverna Deep Blue' can be sown late winter to early spring sowing and the plants will bloom in mid summer. Low growing foliage with 12 to 18 inch tall stems with whorled clusters of blue flowers. When happy will bloom over many weeks from summer into fall, grow in cool, moist places in part shade in humus-rich soils that are moist but not waterlogged.
Surface sow the seeds of Primula capitata, they are very small, and use F 60-70, germination starts in about 10 days and is spread
out over a month or two. Might be helpful to seal up in a
plastic bag. If no germination in 4 weeks move to to 30-39F
for five weeks. Then back to 65F. Provide a steady rate of fertilization early on for best growth rate. Keep the soil medium moist but not wet.
