	'Lady Bells' (a-den-O-fo-ra : bul-ee-YAH-nuh) CAMPANULACEAE: This is the normal light blue form, plants grow 35 inches tall and almost snake their way up through other plants. A good garden subject for mits attractive bell shaped flowers in mid summer. The flowers are charming little bells resembling a Campanula. To me it is one of those plants that are attractive in a dainty sort of way, The flowers are produced later in summer. The foliage is most basil with small reduced leaves on the stems and a greenish-yellow color. Plant in full sun in moister retentive soil that are well draining or in light shade. Plants bloom in Late summer and should bloom the second year. This species produces a thick-fleshy white root and once established does not like to be disturbed. Zones 3-8. Native to Western China to Eurasia and Japan. Surface sow and germinate the seeds around F45-50, Higher temps will produce poorer results. Germination is irregular, occurring over a period of 1-8 weeks. A good subject to sow in late winter out and keep the tray outside for germination in spring while the soil medium is still cool. 50 seeds.

Plants grow 3 feet tall with narrow spikes of medium blue flowers, the flowers are bell-shaped and make for nice cut flowers. After blooming from late spring into late summer plants go dormant leaving nothing above ground except the tall stems with green then brown , small ball shaped seed capsules. Cut them off to prevent self seeding. Plants do not spread under ground very much, but any small piece left in the ground after digging can grow into a new plant. 	[Adenophora coronopifolia] Campanulaceae. Most of the plants leaves are basal leaves with an ovate-triangular shape, The few stem leaves narrowly linear and entire - starting off larger at the base of the stems and becoming smaller as they progress up the stems. The blue colored flowers are in spikes. The somewhat nodding flowers are 1.25 inches long and broadly campanulate shaped. Plants grow 10 to 30 inches tall. Zones 4-8. 	Plants grow 24 inches tall and spread by self seeding. wide Beautiful purplish lavender-blue tubular shaped flowers on one-sided spikes grace this plant in early summer. Nicely used in a naturalized setting and good cut flower material. Zones 4-9. 50 seeds.

	(a-deen-0-fo-ra: lee-lee-i-FOL-ee-aa) CAMPANULACEAE: Plants have nicely sized blue bell shaped flowers covering 24-36 inch tall stems in mid summer. Large white fleshy roots resent disturbances, so plant out where you want them to grow. Nice cut flowers, making a nice display in the lightly shaded garden or in full sun in moisture retentive soils. Probably the easiest of the Adenophora to grow, there are around 40 different species, but only five or so are commonly found in cultivation. This 'Lady Bell' blooms from Mid to Late summer. Plants will have a number of different shaped flower spikes from narrow to broadly flaring at the base. Plants have no basal leaves during flowering so after flowering cut the stems off at the ground. Will bloom the second year. Once established - plants sometimes-self seed to form a good-sized stand of light blue color in mid summer. This selection produces tall narrow stems. Zones 4-8. Native from Central Europe and Northern Asia to Korea. Surface sow, germination in 2-4 weeks at 50 F. 100 seeds.
