'Jack-In-The-Pulpit'

A nice form with large sized hoods that are solid purple or striped green and purple. Plants grow 15-20 inches tall and some will be over two feet tall. Many with purple colored veined stems and brown mottling. Plants will take some light sun but grow best in open shade with some light morning sun thus doing well in a shady woodland setting. 'Jacks' will grow even in heavy shade. Plants will flower in three or four years, large seeds - in berries that are a red-orange in color, the very showy berries are green in the summer and turn bright red-orange in the fall. Easy plants to grow in soils rich in leaf mold and that hold some moisture but are well draining.

Zones 3-9.

50 seeds.
