	'Butterfly Bush' or 'Summer Lilac' Many colors in this mix for this fine semi shrub that is loved by butterflies. Plants will bloom the first yearwith an early sowing and have flowers that are some what like lilacs. Plants grow 72-100 inches tall but will freeze off in the northern part of the country and grow new stems again in the spring. Small shrub like plants in the south. Fast growing with silver white leaves and stems. Hardy in the lower parts of Zone 4 with good winter cover - but will not make it every year. Zones (4)5-9.Fine seed, do not cover, use F 70-80 F, germination in 1-2 weeks and is spread out over a few weeks. Sealing up in a plastic bag helps very much ( Keep bag out of direct sun light). 100 seeds.

Plants will bloom the first year and have flowers that are somewhat shaped like lilacs except that the flowers are longer and not as wide. Plants grow 72-100 inches tall but will freeze off in the northern part of the country and grow new stems again in the spring. Small shrub like plants in the South. Flowers are produced on new growth-so in the South cutting back the plants in the fall will produce more flowers the next year. Fast growing with silver white leaves and stems. This seed selection consistently produces plants in this color range. Germination takes 12-18 days at F. 65 Surface sow, seed is small. Zone (4)5-8.
