[Oenothera serrulata] 'Yellow Sundrops' or 'Dwarf Sundrops' or 'Yellow Evening Primrose' or 'Toothed Evening Primrose' Onagraceae:

Good number of round shaped bright yellow flowers on plants that grow 8 to 28 inches tall. Blooms over a long period of time from late spring into late summer and the flowers are open all day long unlike a number of the true sundrops). the foliage is long and thin with a somewhat cut edge. Grow in sandy, nitrogen poor, well draining soils in full sun or were summers are real hot give some afternoon shade. If you give the plants a good haircut in early spring this will give you bushier more rounded and full plants during blooming. Probably intolerant of prolonged wet periods, especially during winter and spring. Plants have a deep tap root once established and do not transplant well when mature. An attractive species well worth growing from the dry grass lands of Central North America.

Zones 4-9. Native from the central states of the USA into central Canada and into Mexico.

100 seeds.
