	Hardy Fuchsia (FEW-she-uh: ma-jell-AN-ee-kuh) Onagraceae: Plants grow 36 inches or so tall and are covered with many long flowers. The plants produced from these seeds come in a mix of different flower colors, including red, rose, scarlet and purple. Hummingbirds love the flowers. Where grown as perennials, trimming several feet off the stems each year produces fuller plants with more stems and flowers. They like part-sun / part-shade where summers are hot; best growth in deep moisture retentive soils. Where nights stay hot, they do not thrive and most often give up growing and die. Can be grown as an annual, with an early sowing or as perennials grown in pots over winter in a green house. Plants are winter hardy to zone 6 when the base of the stem is woody. Zones 6-10 Surface sow the seeds and use 42-58F with germination spread-out over a number of months. 50+ seeds
