	'Sweet-vetch' or 'Plains Sweet-broom' An attractive species with reddish-pink colored flowers in small clusters at the ends of peduncles (stems that hold flowers but no leaves). Plants grow 2 feet tall and sprawl out to about 3 feet in width. Nice grayish silver-green colored foliage (plants are covered with short silver hairs) combines well with the pea-like flowers. Best in deep well draining soils in full sun. Zones 2-8. Soak seeds in hot water for 24 hours. Lightly cover seeds and use 70ºF, if no germination in 4 weeks, move to the fridge for 5 -9 weeks (32-39F) then back to 70F.
