Showy late spring bloomers with some flowers the rest of the year. Use in full sun with well draining but not overly dry soils, will take some shade but not flower as well and be less compact growing. After flowering, a nice hair cut produces dense clumps. The some what flat, thin needle like leaves are a dark green color and attractive all season long (evergreen in the south - less so as you move up north with out a DRY winter cover) or as an edging along a walk way.
