This biannual blooms in mid spring with a very nice mix with over 5 different colors including three to five shades of blue-violet, a few different shades of white and one that is a reddish violet. Flowers in mid to late summer, large silver seed pod membranes remain. A great dried flower for flower arrangers. Plants self seed on open ground, the first year they large produce clumps of leaves and the second year they bloom in mid spring to early summer.

Zones 4-8. Germination in less than two weeks at 68ºF. Surface sow seeds, light needed for best results.

'Perennial Honesty' (loo-NAIR-ee-uh: re-div-EE-vuh) Brassicaceae 'Mustard Family'

Plants bloom in mid spring with rosy-reddish violet colored flowers and have seed pods in mid to late summer that can be harvested for cut flower arrangements. The pods are not as large as the other species offered but the plants are longer lived. The flowers are scented and can be used as a cut flower but they are not as large and showy as Lunaria annua. Grows about 2 feet tall and best in part shade on well draining but not dry soils. Self seeds on open ground.

This selection has bark violet colored flowers in mid to late spring. large green seed pods form after flowering and when the seeds are ripe the sides of the pods fall off leaving attractive silver membranous centers, that are nice used in dry flower arrangements.
