	'Chinese Foxglove' Carmine-red colored flowers that have yellow throats. Plants grow 3 to 4.5 feet tall, they spread by way of stolons to form large colonies. This species does not like real hot conditions, but is very drought tolerant once established. Attractive as a cut flower that blooms in late spring and again in summer. The flowers are somewhat bell shaped and look some-what like a Fox Glove flower. It differes from Digitalis flowers by having petals that have petunia like texture and the mouth has a small upper lip of two petals and the larger lower lip has three petals. Grow in full sun were summers are on the cool side and in part shade were summer are hot. Best growth and flowering occurs in moist, rich soil - but these conditions al;so promote the greatest spread, so give the showy plants plenty of space. Zones 6-10 100 seeds
