A great 'perennial' ornamental onion with medium purple blue flowers in good sized umbels on 20 inch stems. The foliage has a nice twist to it and plants work well in the perennial boarder or the rock garden, easy to grow and long lived. Flowers are great for cutting. Plants bloom in early to mid summer over a 3-4 week period. Does well in most soils. This Allium stays attractive all growing season, the foliage is still lush in late summer. Many plants in this genus go summer dormant at flowering or just before, but not this species. Mixes well with Coreopsis and Sedum'. Plants will grow into nice clumps that can be divided every few years, they will also self sow a little if the ground is open but not in a weedy way. Clump forming plants with iris-like rhizomes (a rhizomatous onion).

This is an easy to grow Columbine, that has very showy-huge Flowers in white, cream, rose, yellow and red with very long spurs in a wide vibrant mix of colors, with a good number of bi-colors, Plants will start to bloom the second year in late spring and if deadhead will bloom for nearly 2 months. Plants live for four or five years and then begin to decline. They are large, bushy plants, growing from 30 to 40 inches tall and producing multi branched clumps with a 36 inch spread. Partial shade to full sun with good moisture but not wet soils. McKana Giants produces agood number of 3-4' blooms with attractive blue-green foliage. Large lettuce like leaves produce 1 to 3 foot tall stems with blue daisy like flowers along the length of the stems. Best grown on cool-moist soils. 'Dwarf Plains Coreopsis'

Yellow flowers with reddish-maroon centers on this selection that is a prolific bloomer. Plants grow 12-18 inches tall. Mixes well with grasses and plants readily reseed. Birds and butterflies also like this plant. Long blooming period from May to August, plants are more or less annuals but self seed. Coreopsis grow best in any fertile, garden soil that is well- drained and has a full exposure to the sun. Sow indoors at 70-degree temperature, 4 to 6 weeks before it is safe to plant outside. Seeds may also be sown directly where they are to grow when the soil is warm, cover lightly.

This is a mix of 10 nice large two year to three year old plants from one gallon containers, this is a very wide mix made up from left overs and plants that have lost their pot tags including tetra and di-ploids. The colors cover the wide spectrum of reds, pinks, yellows and many pastels. All are named (we have offered for sale close to 600 different daylily varieties and any one of them could be included), this is not a seedling mix. Most have lost there tags so we do not know the names but they are plants that sell normally from 8 to 19 dollars each.

Wide mix of red, pink, lilac, rose, blue, and white colored flowering plants. The bright and showy flowers are in tall spikes. Nice uniform plants that grow 3 feet tall. Fully double flowers, this selection is outstanding for cut flowers and all right for drying. Selected out for better uniformity between the plants with different flower colors in blooming time and height. Moist but well, draining soils in part shade, for best cutting material keep out of windy locations.

The foliage is light green and blooming starts in late spring and lasts for 5-9 weeks. Grow in well drained soils in full sun.

Zones 3-8. Sow seeds in moist seed mix and keep at 50F, as seedlings become large enough to handle: prick-out and transplant, germination starts in two weeks and is spread out over a few months. Cover seeds-darkness will help with germination. Soaking the seeds in hot water for 24 hours helps speed up germination. Use Hot water out of the tap and fill a drinking glass half full and add the seeds let cool, after 12 hours poor out the water and add more hot water.

This relative to the bell flowers (Campanula) forms rosettes of light green some what hair foliage. The many creamy white colored flowers are shaped like bells and dangle down in large numbers from 12 to 18 inch tall stems. For me plants have been short lived, with about half dying after flowering. (this is called a monocarpic life cycle) Nice plants for the rock garden or boarder were they do well in light well drained soils in sun or part shade. Once you have your plants started collect your own seeds to make sure you have this diffrent and attractive plant in your garden- I have not had them self seed for me by them selves-but them I have not grown them in ideal conditions.
