'Devil's-tongue' or 'Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus' Bright, 2 to 3 inch wide yellow flowers on low growing plants that grow 8 inches tall. Round flattened stems with a few segments, thorny with small short thorns. Plants grow on sand dunes and other sandy-rocky soils in Eastern North America. Flowering in June with fruiting in mid to late summer, the fruits turn bright red. Good bloomer, plants should be dry over the winter. Very hardy Zones 4-9. 25 seeds.
