'Tall Plains Coreopsis'
Yellow flowers on this selection that is a prolific bloomer. Plants grow 24 to 36 inches tall. Mixes well with grasses and plants readily reseed. Birds and butterflies also like this plant. Long blooming period from May to August, plants are more or less annuals but self seed. Coreopsis grow best in any fertile, garden soil that is well- drained and has a full exposure to the sun. Sow indoors at 70-degree temperature, 4 to 6 weeks before it is safe to plant outside. Seeds may also be sown directly where they are to grow when the soil is warm in the spring, or sow in mid summer for blooms late summer and fall. Nice plants for large mixed pots.
