'Rose Campion' or 'Dusty Miller' or 'Mullian Pink' (lick-nis: ko-ro-NAH-ree-a)
Plants grow 20' tall and have dense white woolly leaves and white colored flowers. These plants put on a very bright display in a semi dry area in full sun. Blooms for many weeks in early-mid summer and looks best planted in groups. Cut back the flowering stems after flowering and enjoy the nice felt like, silver colored, leaves as a mat-like ground cover. Plants do not like moist soils and are very drought tolerant. Best grown for two years and allowed to reseed. Remove old plants as they do not flower as well, but they more or less disappear by them selves. Surfaces sow seeds and use F 75, germination in 4-10 days. Once seeds start to germinate sprinkle a little seed mix over the top of them.
Zones 4-8.
