[Campanulastrum americanum] 'Tall Bellflower'
Plants grow 4 to 6 feet (6 ft = 1.83 m) tall and have narrow stems with many small, star shaped, blue flowers. The flowers are spread-out along the top 2/3rds of the stems. The blue flowers have white centers. Best in full sun in moisture retentive but well draining soils. They will grow and flower in areas with some open shade, but tend to be tall and lax. When used in some shade, they work well mixed with other tall plants that they can grow up threw, which can give them some support.
Zones 3-8
Germination in 1-3 weeks at F65. It is helpful to use lighted days (but keep out of very bright light) and dark nights.
