'Lady Bird Poppy' or 'Flanders Poppy' (puh-PAY-ver: kom-yoo-TAH-tum) Papaveraceae:

Many large deep scarlet-red flowers with black markings in their centers. Plants form bushy clumps 1 to 1 1/2 feet tall, and 2 feet wide, The plants often produces more than 15 blooms simultaneously. This species blooms heavily for more than a month and a half. Flowers May-Aug and starts blooming in about 5 weeks after sowing.

A self seeding Annual. Sow outdoors, Germination in less than two weeks at 60慚 in dark, Can be started indoors too but be careful transplanting. Best sown in situ. Resents root disturbance, so if starting inside use deep plugs.
