'Jeffrey's Shooting Star' or 'Sierra Shooting Star'
Plants have good sized rose-purple colored flowers on 12 to 20 inch tall stems that rise above flat laying leaves that spread-out atop of the surface of the ground. Blooms spring and plants go summer dormant in July. Full sun to part shade, moisture retentive soils are best.
Zones 4-9. Native from Western USA and Canada. Sow at 40ºF-55F,
germination irregular, often over a few months. Keep seed
medium moist. Best to surface sow and sprinkle a little
medium over the seeds and then seal up in a plastic bag.
