'Columbine' or 'Granny's Bonnet' (ack-wi-LEE-gee-a: vul-GAAR-iss) Ranunculaceae.
Classic flowering types with short recurved spurs and good sized, somewhat nodding bell-like flowers. The flower colors are pink, violet, wine-red plus many others. A nice mix showy flowers for naturalizing. Heavy flowering plants, blooming in mid spring to late spring; putting on a superb show in full sun to half shade. Plants grow 3 feet tall. Plants will bloom the second year. Very much liked and a nice mix for self seeding.
