Here is a bushy herbaceous perennial with a woody basal stem. Plants have a few to many upright to semi-upright stems with somewhat woolly leaves. Plants grow 5 to 15 feet tall. The flowers are produced singularly on terminal stalks with a nodding, bell like look. The flowers are bluish-purple in color.
Zones (4)5-8. Try 20-30 days at 50-55 F. nights and 68-78 F. days. Darkness helps, so cover seeds completely when sowing. The seeds that do not germinate in response to the above regime, move to 29-35 F for 12 weeks. Germination can be spread out over a few months.
