'Teide Cat-Mint' or 'Canary Nepeta'
Fragrant perennials from a woody rootstock. The plants have long spikes of dark to soft violet blue flowers. The flowering spikes and foliage are densely hairy, the hairs are a white-silver color. The serrated edged leaves are attractive. Not so good in hot humid conditions or under damp conditions. Grow in full sun in rocky to sandy - well draining soils. A semi-shrub with a woody base. Plants grow 2 to 4 feet tall. Named after a large volcano in Spain (Canary Islands)
Zone 6-9 maybe colder in sheltered locations - means avoid winter and early spring wetness.
