'Turkistan Tulip'
Creamy-white colored flowers with orange-yellow centers. Flowers are produced on branched stems. Plants produce 3 to 12 flowers per bulb. This species growsfrom 8 to 12 inches tall with narrow blue green foliage. A nice plant for the rock-garden in full sun and well draining soils. Early flowering.
Zones (4)5-8. This species is native from Kazakhstan to North West China were it is found growing in rocky soils. Start with 4 weeks moist and warm (50-75F), then move to 24-38ºF for 5 weeks, after - move to 45-55ºF for germination.
