Plants grow about 8 inches tall with bright blue colored, round 'globe like' flowers. Nice carpet-forming species with low growing, shiny, evergreen leaves. Best is gravely soils or a rock garden in full sun.

Zones 5-9. Native to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkan Peninsula were it is found growing in stony dry meadows.
