'Italian Aster'
Clump forming plants that produce good sized flowers in Blue, lavender and pink shades. This is the European species of aster to which the generic name Aster is based on with the word meaning 'star.' (All the North American asters have been move to other genera now, except the alpine aster) Will grow best in dry sunny locations in soils that are alkaline.
Germination is spread out over many weeks at 68ºF. Surface sow seeds, light needed for best results. This is older seed, so Germination starts in about 10 days and is spread-out over a two or three weeks.
