'Italian Aster'
Clump forming plants that produce good sized flowers in lavender blue with yellow centers. This is the European species of Aster to which the generic name Aster is based on. The the word 'Aster' means 'star.' Will grow best in dry sunny locations in soils that are alkaline.
Zones 5-8. Germination is spread out over many weeks at 68ºF. Surface sow seeds, light needed for best results. Slow germination taking place from 1-6 weeks.
