'Wild Columbine'
Plants with many red colored flowers with yellow stamens and throats. Blooms mid spring into early summer. Best in open shadeto part shade, grows well in dry soils too. In full sun plants bloom much more but are shorter and not as long lived. Self seeds freely to form nice clumps on open soils. Humming birds like the flowers, easy to grow and attractive. Good for a woodland setting or on rocky soils. Will bloom the secound year. This lot is not seed fromour local large form soplants willbe diffrent from the past seed offerings of this species - growing about 2 feet tall.
