'Corbett Canadian Columbine' (ack-wi-LEE gee-a: can-ah-DEN sis) Ranunculaceae:
Soft yellow colored flowers on top of 9 to 12 inch tall plants. A unique color for this species and typically smaller growing plants than the normal red to orange colored plants. The flowers are smaller and have a more narrow shape, giving them an appearance like hanging Chinese lanterns. An interesting addition to a woodland or native species garden, or use in the front to mid border, or as an accent plant combined with spring wildflowers and Primula and Alchemilla.
