'White Aster'
Plants grow 3 feet tall and produces umbels of white flowers in
late summer. It likes wet ground. Audubon describes the 'White Aster' as bearing its flowers in
flat-topped clusters. The clusters can be a foot wide. Best suited for wild flower gardens were its
late summer-fall blooming is very showy but general plant habit is large and some what rangy for
the formal garden.
Zones 3-8. Native to eastern North America.. Use 3 or 4 weeks at
68-75ºF, if no germination., 45 days at 33-39ºF.
