'Greek Horehound' or 'False Divinity' or 'False Horehound'
Grow in Full sun on dry soils. Grows well in rocky areas, doing best in limey, poor soils but adaptable. An evergreen perennial growing from 12 to 28 inches tall and up to 3 feet wide, they produce small pink flowers in early summer. The gray-green, felty textured leaves remind me of Stachs. This perennial is hardy down to F 15 and is useful in a garden in dry parts of the country. Native from Greece, Crete, Turkey, Libya. Zones 8-10. Very lightly cover seeds with a well draining soil medium and use 65-75ºF. Germination in two weeks but some seeds may take a year.
