Plants with white flowers that have red center markings, grows about 7 to 9 inches tall when in bloom in late spring to mid summer. Thick clumps of blue-green colored foliage with a white waxy coating. Many flowers produced on each 12 inch wide plant. A nice species for the rock garden or used as an informal edging around the boarder. Our plants here in Minnesota performed well for four years before they were replaced when the bed was redone. The plants are evergreen and with a trim after blooming form a nice ground cover of 4 inch tall foliage. Well draining soils in full sun is best, some of our plants were growing under some large 'Golden Rods' and they still bloomed well but the plants were long and leggy with stems growing 1 foot long.
Zones 4-8. Native from Western Asia including Turkey to Western Tibet.
