'Leopard's Bane' Asteraceae:
The first Large yellow daisy to bloom in the garden. Early to late spring blooming daisy like flowers. Makes a nice cut flower, growing 1 to 2 feet tall when in full bloom over low growing attractive foliage. Needs a rich, moisture retentive soil that is not wet. Under dry conditions plants can go dormant early, part shade under normal garden conditions but in soils that are more moisture retentive will take full sun. This form has larger flowers than the normal species. Nice and showy when grown well.
