Dogtooth Violet' This woodland plant has attractive mottled, smooth foliage with 7 inch tall spikes of pink tinted white colored flowers. Were happy over time they will grow into dense colonies. Grow in humus rich, moisture retentive, well drained soils in open shade. Blooms late spring. Plants will bloom the third year after germination.
Zones 3-9. Sow at 70ºF for 4 weeks by placing seeds and a small amount of moist seeds medium in a sealed plastic bag, then move to the fridge for 8-12 weeks, then move to F 55 for germination in 1-5 weeks, can be difficult- so be patient.
