Loose open mats of semi-evergreen foliage. The leaves are small and the flowers are
open panicles of trumpet-shaped white flowers with reddish-purple colored veins. When
flowering the plants form white colored clouds just above the foliage. As the flowers age they
develop a pinkish cast to them. Plants grow 2 inches tall and make a nice ground cover in the
rock garden or as a filler in amongst large stones or paving stones. The clumps grow 6 or 7
inches wide and bloom from late spring to mid summer.
Zones (3)5-8. Native form the
Himalayan Mountains. Lightly cover seeds with soil and use F. 55-65, germination is spread out
over a number of weeks.
100 seeds.
