Plants of this selection grow from three to five feet tall. The flowers come in different shades of lemon yellow, golden yellow, red and mahogany, plus discolored combinations. Best growth and blooming when plants are grown in full sum in moist soils. Not for wet soils but plants have tolerate some short term flooding. Some flowering the first year with an early sowing, divide plants every other year to maintain large strong stems. Blooms in late summer and fall, flowering over a long period. They are wonderful as cut flowers and loved by butterflies. Tall plants may need some staking, especially under windy conditions.

Lightly cover seeds and use F 70, germination in 7-16 days.
