'Bloodroot'

Plants bloom very early in spring with white flowers. After flowering leaves expand out to 6 to 8 inches wide. Best to sow the seeds in summer and fall outside in sandy compost in a sheltered location for germination next spring.

Zones 3-8. After sowing the seeds cover thinnly and tamp down the soil medium firmly. Seedshasbeen storemoist and is ready for 8 to 10 weeks of cold stratification.
