'Sheep's Bite Scabiosa' (ya-see-O-nay: LIE-vis) CAMPANULACEAE
Plants grow 15 inches tall and have small sky blue flowers clustered together in round heads that are 2 inches across on top of long stems. The foliage is low growing and grayish-green. Nice in the rock garden or front of the border where they grow best in none nitrogen rich soils that are sandy and well draining in full sun to light shade. Nice for cutting too. They work well in a container too.
Zones 6-9. Native from southern Europe. Surface sow seeds and use 70ºF. Light needed for best germination which should be in less than 14 days.
