'Flax' (LEEN-um: pe-REN-ee)
Plants grow 10 inches tall and have nice attractive soft azure blue flowers on slender stems. Long blooming. A nice plant for it's long blooming period in late spring/mid summer. I like the soft textured foliage on this plant as much as the very attractive sky blue flowers that float above-and mixed-in the foliage. Best in dry, poor soils. Under shady or wet conditions plants grow leggy and flop. Very nice, airy and showy display.
Zones (4) 5-8. Lightly cover seeds and use F 70, Germination in 10-25 days.
