Now found under the name Persicaria. Plants creep over the ground and grow about 3 to 6 inches tall. Attractive rose to pink flowers over bronze colored foliage with a darker black-bronze chevron. A useful ground cover-growing fast and the thickest in full sun in moister retentive soils. Rock gardens, tubs or baskets. Zones 7-10?. click name for a picture. This selection might be a hybrid because I received the seed under the name P. affina, but it is not this species. Very nice and can be grown as an annual ground cover because of its quick growth.
