'Balloon Flowers'
Showy plants that will bloom the second or third year. Great cut flowers. Long lived and easy in full sun or light shade. Durable in most soils, even dry ones, but should not be grown in wet soils. Plants are very late in Breaking dormancy in the spring so do not plant a new plant over your balloon flower or till up the ground were you have them planted. Blooming the second year, but in reality not blooming heavy until they are four or more years old. I had one that was 15 years old and it had over 100 flowers on it during early to mid summer. For a few years it was home to a very large garden spider. Surface sow-Light needed for best germination. 70 f 10 days.
