'Jerusalem Sage' (flo-MIS: froo-Ti-Ko-sa)
This species is grown both for its flowers and its bushy-almost shrub like habit. Felt-like foliage on 30 inch tall stems with yellow flowers. Needs well draining, dry soils and full sun. Flowers are produced on new growth so a good trimming in the spring is useful. The species name means 'Bush Like' and it is native from around the Mediterranean.
Zones 7-10. Germination in spread out over many weeks, use 3 weeks at 80ºF. In no results then 3 weeks at 40-45ºF, then back to 68-75ºF. keep moist but not overly wet.
