[Primula wilsonii var. anisodora] 'Anise Primrose' or 'Candelabra Primrose' Primulaceae:
Scented flowers are brown-purple in color with yellow eyes. The stems grow around 2 feet tall with semi-evergreen leaves and candelabra type inflorescences. The leaves have finely serrated edges and are anise-scented, they grow up to 10 inches long. For the best plants grow in moist to wet soils in partial shade in humus-rich soils. Blooms Mid to Late Spring.
Zones 5-8. This species is native to W Szechuan and NW Yunnan where it grows in moist pastures.
