'Virginia Stonecrop' or 'Ditch Stonecrop' Crassulaceae.
A Sedum relative with out succulent foliage or stems. Plants grow 1 to 3 feet tall and bloom summer and early fall with milky white colored - tinted green, star shaped flowers. After flowering the plants have interesting button like fruits. This herbaceous perennial has entire leaves with small teeth, the leaves are arranged alternately. Grow plants in moist soils in sun to open shade with some direct afternoon sun. Not a showy plant for the garden but used for covering the ground in moist to wet soils and natural plantings.
Zones 4-9. Native from Eastern and Central USA.
