'Obedient Plant'

Plants have spikes 3-4 feet tall. This selection has a softer color than the other one above, often plants will have purple tinted stems and upper leafs in the fall. Makes a nice cut flower. Sun to part shade. Loves moist soils, but does well in any soil that does not become bone dry. The showy flowers are on swivels and can be pushed around the stems=this is how the plant got it's common name. Blooms late summer into fall. Spreading plants by way of underground stems, grows into 3 foot wide clumps in three to five years.

Zones 3-9. Cover seed, germination in 2-3 weeks at 70F.

50 seeds
