'Ornamental Rhubarb'

Herbaceous perennials with a deep rootstock. Early in the year plants have crimson-purple ovate toothed leaves that turn dark green. Cerise-pink, red or white flowers in tall 'spikes' reaching 6 to 8 feet tall and produced in summer. Full sun to part shade, for best effect grow in good soil that is deep and moisture retentive but well draining.
