'Brown Eyed Susan' A showy species with large rounded petals and dark cones. Plants grow 2-5 feet tall. Full to partial Sun in moisture retentive soils that are well drained. Blooms in July and October. Plants are covered with many bright yellow flowers with black center cones. Long blooming, starting in summer and finishing in early fall but often right up to hard frost. Easy to grow from seed and will bloom the second year. Although normally short-lived, they will self-sow readily on open ground. Zones 4-9. 500 seeds.
