'Bristly Bellflower'
Spike like stems of clusted flowers. The folaige and the stems have bristle like hairs. Plants tend to be Monocarpic growing a basel roset of foliage the first year and blooming the secound year. So allow to self seed. Plants grow 2 to 3 feet tall. An open grass land species with medium blue colored flowers, each flower is bell shaped and short, located in tight clusters on the top half of the stems.
Zones (4)5-9. Native from Siberia but introduced to Europe many hundreds of years ago.
