SAXIFRAGACEAE. Large palmate 5-8 fingered leaves that have a purple to rusty red tinge in the spring. leaves are large and have a coarse texture with toothed edges. Panicles of white to Rose pink flowers that turn more red as the seed capsels mature in midsummer. Nicly textured bronze tinted foliage. Excellent plants used in the back of the border in moist but well drained soils in a partly shady location. This is another nice bold specimen plant growing 3-4 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. Native to China. Zones 4-9. 3 inch cold treated pots.
